Peg-Perego Aria Twin 60/40 Stroller, Corallo

Peg-Perego Aria Twin 60/40 Stroller, Corallo Customer Review

Usually ships in 1-2 business days

We got this for our newborn and toddler about 9 mos ago, after a very LONG search (and trying many exotic brands at "boutique" baby stores) and have been using it ever since.

The upsides: At 2l lbs, it is the lightest double stroller we found which will hold an infant car seat (only side-by side "umbrella" strollers (which are not suitable for infants because they don't recline) are lighter). You dont' need to use a Peg infant seat, it holds our Graco SnugRide infant seat (secured with a luggage strap wrapped from underneath the the fully-reclined seat and over the side notches on the car seat). It folds and unfolds pretty easily (you do need to use 2 hands to open and close, unlike the single Pegs which can be opened with one hand) and stands when folded (a plus for storing neatly when you go out to eat/someone's house, at home or day care, etc, as many other strollers can't stand up folded, you have to lie them down on their sides). It fits in the trunk of our hatchback (the Joovy Caboose and Baby Trend Sit-N-Stand were actually too long to fit in our trunk). While a bit bulky when loaded with 2 kids and diaper bags, it's still pretty easy to push and we've never had a problem navigating most urban sidewalks (with minor bumps, cracks, etc), hard-packed dirt (like you might find in a public park or playground), doorways, elevators in the subways, aisles in most stores, etc.

The downsides: Small snack trays and no cup holders for the kids, no cup holder or parent tray for the adult (don't even bother using the cheap cup holder they give you, it will break off after the first few times) so we got one of those hanging stroller bag/pouches that have small pockets big enough to hold wipes, snacks and 2 standard water or baby bottles (think it was ~-20?) and 2 hooks for the handlebar for hanging bags, etc. The storage bin, which is basically is the length and width of the seats, seems a little flimsy and is not too deep (but we still manage to shove a normal-sized diaper bag underneath). The hand brake can be a hard to engage, but since we don't use it too often, it's not a problem for us.

Great stroller with some big issues - K. Spencer - Arlington, VA
In a nutshell this is a GREAT stroller in every regard except that it's awful to steer and go over any form of bump. It's really light weight, has a food tray, and folds up very easily. But, I have decided to sell mine and get the city mini double b/c yesterday we hit a TINY bump in the sidewalk and the stroller came to a crashing halt and literally tipped over with both kids in it! The wheels are simply too small for the size of the stroller and unless you are walking on the street with no bumps, this thing is VERY difficult to manage and steer.

I like it for many reason, but that was the last straw. It shouldn't be that hard to push my two kids around. If they were smaller, maybe. But my 3 and 1 year old are simply too much weight (and they aren't big kids) to make this manageable.
